Elton Buchanan was born and raised on the north Island of New Zealand .

In 1994 he embarked on what intended to be a 6 month snowboard trip, which turned in to a 9 year hiatus from New Zealand .

His Tattoo beginnings started early 1998 on the North Western  coast of Oregon (u.s.a) he began studying under the watchful eye of Kimbra Schlatter, owner of  Nine lives tattoo studio’s in Seaside, Oregon.

Elton continued his education and practice  for the better part of 3 years in some of Australia’s premier tattoo studio’s and shops. Taking the best of what he learned. 

Elton returned home in 2002 with his family on the way, and opened Globus Tattoo’s with his wife Kellyrae.  Globus will be celebrating its 9th anniversary April 2011.

Kellyrae  Buchanan  was born and raised on the praries of north america.

She is our tattoo studio manager and consultant .

Kelly is in charge of the day to  day running of globus tattoo.

She has been in the tattoo  industry full time  since 2002 and works closely with our clients , helping

to inspire and refine design  ideas .
